Rutland Resident Recognized

Shannon Mehrer, Rutland resident and owner of Dakota Precision Fabricating, was recently recognized by the the Forman Commercial Club. Rick Jablonsky and members of the Forman Commercial Club recently visited Shannon at his business on Main Street in Forman. The business, which Shannon describes as a mixed metals fabricating shop, has actually been in operation since 2004 (originally in Rutland). About one year ago, Shannon purchased a larger building in Forman and expanded his business creating items such as stairways, handrails, signs, and removable flood walls. The work is done in steel, stainless steel,  aluminum, and copper; items are shipped throughout the country. One of the biggest projects Dakota Precision has completed was a job for the St. Paul Airport, building walls out of 150,000 lbs of steel. Shannon also enjoys working on smaller jobs and has done metal yard signs and signs for businesses with the help of his plasma metal cutting equipment. Shannon, his wife Hilary and their children live in Rutland, ND.
