The Rutland Community Club theater program will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 beginning at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. This year’s program, “The Gong Show,” will highlight area talent and not-so-talented acts. Contestants can sign-up to be part of the show (contact Diane Smith at 724-3375).
Tickets are on sale at the advance cost of $10.00 each which include a meal and the show. Tickets may be purchased from Alley Cuts and at the Rutland General Store. They are also available from Diane Smith or can be ordered by sending a check payable to the Rutland Community Club, PO Box 53, Rutland ND 58067. Only 120 meal/show tickets are available. Any meal/show tickets not sold in advance will be available at a cost of $13.00 at the door. Individuals who wish to attend the show only can purchase tickets for $5.00 at the door.

The Rutland Community Club will meet Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 7 p.m. at City Hall. Following the business meeting, Justin and Julian Jacobson will talk about the Voyageurs International music in Europe concert program tour last summer. The sixteen day tour and concert program took them to London, Paris, Venice and parts of Germany. Join us for their presentation which will include a picturesque tour of Europe.

Rutland Bergman/Evenson Post 215 will hold the annual Pancake Feed on Sunday, February 7, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Rutland Town Hall. Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage, Juice, Coffee will be available on a Free Will Offering. Supplement Funds are being provided by Thrivent. Kitchenware from Legion Hall will also be sold.
The Cogswell Gun Club and Rutland Sportsmen’s Club will sponsor an ice fishing derby on Sunday, February 21, 2010, 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The derby will be held at Silver Lake with gates open at 10:00 a.m. Entry fee is $10.00 and tickets may be purchased from any Club member. Prizes will be awarded for the top 5 fish, first fish, and last fish. Door prize drawing at 1:30 p.m. (need not be present to win). Proceeds benefit Silver Lake Project.
