It’s countdown time to the 27th Annual Uffda Day festival in Rutland! Sunday, October 2, 2011 activities begin with the 5K walk/run at 8 a.m. Scalloped potatoes and ham dinner served at City Hall, 11 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Demonstrations and sale of ethnic foods starts at 11 a.m. — Krumkake, rosettes, fattigman, sandbakkels, lefse, rice pudding, abelskievers, rommegrot, Uffda Tacos — and brats (start at 10 for the early birds!).
Pioneer demonstrations are Noon to 4 p.m. — Hardanger, wool spinning, quilting, embroidery, rope making and even ice cream.
Parade is at 1:00 p.m.
Carnival games 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. (up to age 10).

Uffda Day is always the first Sunday in October. This year it is Sunday, October 7, 2012.
