Rutland’s 25th Annual Fall Festival will be held Sunday, October 4, 2009. Demonstrations and sale of ethnic foods starts at 11:00 a.m. - Krumkake, rosettes, fattigman, lefse, rice pudding, rommegrot, abelskivers, Uffda tacos and brats for sale. Hal Nelson Benefit

A benefit is being held for Hal Nelson who is returning home to Rutland after several months in the HCMC Burn Unit, Minneapolis, following a home explosion in October 2008. A silent and live auction and free-will dinner is being held. Items up for bid include We Fest 2010 passes, Medora Musical (2) passes, handmade quilts, guns, fishing gear, and more.
